Veterinary clinical research involves the investigation and evaluation of new therapies, medical devices, and diagnostic tests, with the ultimate goal of advancing the health and well-being of veterinary patients. Often the results of such studies impact the care of human patients too, as they are affected by many of the same diseases that animals are. Clinical studies may also provide access to cutting-edge approaches to care when few other options are available, and often at little or no cost.
